Microwave Will Not Start

• No power: Check the outlet, breaker, fuse, and power connection before resetting the unit.
• Door not fully closed: Open and firmly close the door. Make sure no food package or container blocks the latch.
• Control lock enabled: Disable the child lock or panel lock according to your Bosch model manual.
• Timer not set: Select a cooking time, power level, and start command before operation.

Microwave Runs But Does Not Heat

• Incorrect power level: Confirm that the microwave is not set to a low-power defrost or warming mode.
• Door switch issue: If the light and fan operate but food does not heat, the door interlock system may need service.
• Magnetron or high-voltage component fault: Stop using the appliance and contact a qualified technician.
• Speed oven setting: On combination models, make sure the correct microwave, convection, or speed cooking mode is selected.

Turntable Not Rotating

• Tray not seated: Reinstall the glass tray, roller ring, and turntable support correctly.
• Food container too large: Use a smaller microwave-safe container that does not touch the cavity walls.
• Turntable function disabled: Some models allow turntable operation to be turned off for large dishes.
• Motor issue: If the tray still does not rotate, the turntable motor may need replacement.

Sparking, Arcing, or Burning Smell

• Metal inside cavity: Remove foil, metal racks, twist ties, and non-microwave-safe containers unless the manual specifically allows use.
• Food residue: Clean grease, crumbs, and spilled food from the cavity, waveguide cover, and door area.
• Damaged cavity surface: Do not use the microwave if interior paint is badly chipped or the waveguide cover is damaged.
• Empty operation: Never run the microwave empty, as this can damage internal components.

Control Panel or Display Problems

• Panel not responding: Disconnect power for several minutes, then reconnect to reset the control board.
• Error code displayed: Refer to the Bosch microwave oven manual for the exact error code and recommended action.
• Clock reset: Set the clock again after a power outage or breaker reset.
• Touch controls dirty: Clean the control panel with a soft damp cloth and dry it completely.

Fan, Noise, or Ventilation Issues

• Cooling fan running after cooking: This may be normal on built-in and speed oven models while the appliance cools down.
• Blocked vents: Keep ventilation openings clear and follow required installation clearances.
• Over-the-range vent weak: Clean or replace grease filters and check the exhaust path.
• Unusual grinding noise: Stop operation and inspect the turntable area, roller ring, and cavity floor.
